The company

 

SOMEGE was founded in 1980 in Cholet by two partners, Daniel Rocheteau and Joseph Retailleau, SOMEGE settled in Mortagne sur Sèvre in 1982 expanding its expertise to machining castings, combined with the acquisition of computer programming skills, CAD and computer-aided drafting methods: 3D modelling, ISO programming.

 

 

In 1999, Christophe Milliot and his team took over the management of the company implementing a more advanced and structured 

approach of the machining activities, through continued development of numericalcontrols and standardisation of the production tools. SOMEGE expanded its foundry activities and opened new buildings with a total area of 5 000 M2 in 2006 in order to increase its production capacity.

With 50 employees and high-standard equipment (several client certifications, nuclear sector, SNCF), SOMEGE has been acknowledged as a reliable and experienced partner. SOMEGE provides integral management solutions to build each project from scratch: from modelling of the part, design of the casting, purchasing and stock management, machining, heat or surface treatment, through to the full assembly of a function and delivery of completely assembled units.SOMEGE uses its manufacturing facilities to produce parts ranging from 500 grams to 1 600 kg, for small and medium sized production volumes (15-20 parts).
